I will update this thread with the results of pulling the wire as to whether the light status changed, and if the sensor was the issue.

I have an 1845C that recently the engine temp light is on all the time pretty much. Its on as soon as you start the machine, sometimes it will go out or go dim, but for the most part always on. Mechanic: spankyjr1. The temp light is probably coming on for low water level not high coolant temp. Check coolant level. Check wiring going to low coolant sensor for corrosion loose or damaged pins. Repair as needed. If not low and wiring good replace low coolant sensor. If you have a overflow tank the sensor will be in bottom of tank.
